Welcome to turquoise! My name is Inez Andrews and I have been interested in holistic therapies for many years. Having gained my ITEC qualifications in 2000 I worked from home in Dundee for around two years. Due to a change in circumstances I was unable to work beyond this and carried on working as a registered general nurse. I have spent the last twenty years working as an anaesthetic nurse - a job which I loved! However - recently an opportunity arose for me to get back to holistic bodywork and so "turquoise" was born! The therapies that I offer are Swedish massage, aromatic massage and clinical aromatherapy. I have recently embarked upon my Diploma in Indian Champissage - a wonderful therapy that I hope to be offering by the new year. I am a member of the Complimentary Therapists Association (CThA), Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and fully insured through Holistic Services Insurance. I enjoy meeting people and hope that my nursing background will enhance my therapeutic practice. Inspired by a massage in a cave by the sea on honeymoon - I have tried to create the perfect ambience for you to relax and unwind in. Appointments are scheduled to ensure you have maximum relaxation time, without feeling rushed. All the therapies are suitable for women and men. December 2011 update - Turquoise is delighted to introduce our new therapist - Janey Archer! Janey has been working at the Polished Nail Boutique and is a very welcome addition to turquoise. Janey is ITEC qualified and offers all of the therapies mentioned above. In addition to this she also offers hot stone masssage, reflexology, reiki,Thai foot massage and Indian Head Massage. Having Janey on board allows turquoise to offer greater choice of therapies as well as extended opening hours. We hope that this will increase flexibility for clients wishing to book a treatment. A full consultation will take place prior to treatment, please allow extra time for this as it is a very important aspect of our work. Depending upon your current state of health and/or any medication you are currently taking, it may be necessary to obtain permission from your GP for you to be treated. In this instance treatment would not go ahead at time of consultation.
Cancellation policy
Please give a minumum of 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We appreciate that sometimes illness/circumstances can crop up without warning and it may not be possible to give this amount of notice. We would ask that you contact us as soon as you know you will not be able to take up your appointment. Failure to do so may incur a charge as we may not be able to fill your appointment space. Please do not come in for your appointment if you feel unwell in anyway or if you have a cold, 'flu or fever as we will be unable to treat you.
Appointment times
Your appointment is scheduled to allow you plenty of time to rest at the end of your treatment without feeling rushed. Please make sure you arrive promptly for your appointment. If you are going to be late I will try to give you your full appointment time - but this will depend on what bookings are following on. Please try to let me know if you are running late!
Payments
At present I accept cash and all major credit/debit cards. In the near future I hope to be offering an online booking and payment service. Details to follow.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are available throughout the year. Owing to the large amount of gift vouchers in circulation any vouchers sold from February 2012 are valid for 6 months.
PLEASE NOTE
If you come to "turquoise" we may not be available to see you if we are in the middle of a treatment. Once we have commenced a treatment we will not interupt it to deal with phone calls or enquiries. If you need to contact us please leave a message on the answer machine or e-mail us via the website. We regularly check both of these and will call you back as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding!
